Now that we have completed the sale we want to thank you for all of your help. The first words that come to mind to describe you are quality, integrity, and professionalism.
Even though you came highly recommended by someone I trust, I admit that I was apprehensive, with almost everyone telling me to be careful. In this tough economy with a difficult property to sell, I was warned not to get my hopes up, that real estate agents are the same, a certain one can't make that much of a difference. Wrong.
Since working with you I find myself telling people - no you don't understand - I worked with this woman who is amazing.
We had not sold a property in California for many years and had no idea how much work would be entailed. You were faced with what wasn't a standard property with many complexities - a very old home with two parcels etc. You hung in there, found our buyer and worked us through it all. The paperwork volume you had to deal with seemed endless. You never complained, never gave up, and were always encouraging.
Janis - I was amazed how your caring and sweet manner contrasted with your tough, impressive negotiating abilities and understanding of the complex California law. You appear to have the knowledge of a lawyer, an advantage I guess of being the daughter of a lawyer. Your hobby as a photographer paid off as well - the photos you took showed our property in a light even I had never seen.
Even after the sale - spending your own money to have someone put together this 6 inch thick book with copies of all of the papers involved with the sale - wow! If we know someone who is in your market, we won't have to think for a second before we would recommend you highly.
As I think back on this experience, I am so grateful for your long distance "hand-holding" (California to New York) easing us through an emotionally and financially difficult experience. You made sure this all came out well.
